World Anatomy Day

By October 19, 2022No Comments

World Anatomy Day honours the work of Andreas Vesalius and marks the anniversary of his death on 15th October 1564.

The Department of Anatomy, KFMSR, headed by Professor Dr. Nirmala Devi M, organised this significant annual event by conducting competitions such as Body painting, Rangoli and Poster presentation for the first year MBBS students Batch (2021-2022) on 14th October 2022.

The students participated with much enthusiasm. They displayed their creative skills in Body painting by showcasing the minute details of facial structures; in Rangoli competition by merging embryology with histology, and in Poster presentation by creating awareness about Organ donation.

Dr. D N Renganathan, Professor from Department of Surgery, KFMSR was invited to give a talk on importance of anatomy in surgery- a futuristic view.

The event was indeed a visual treat and was enjoyed by all students, judges and faculties from clinical and non-clinical departments.
